Crowder College has partnered with the Joplin Chamber Foundation and the City of Joplin to offer a condensed schedule for students wanting to go directly to work after training.

The Joplin Advanced Training and Technology Center (ATTC) provides state-of-the art equipment preparing students to enter the workforce.
Crowder College Training & Development Solutions also resides in the ATTC.

Project Lead The Way Partner

Crowder College recognizes the skills that students acquire in PLTW courses. Through Project Lead the Way, students develop technical knowledge as well as problem-solving, process-thinking, communication and professional skills.

Crowder College awards credit for courses taught by PLTW certified high school teachers for the following PLTW courses:

To be eligible to earn college credit:

  • High School teacher must be PLTW certified
  • Student must pass the course with a B or better (80 percent or above)
    • Course grades must be on an official high school transcript
  • Student must score a minimum of 6 on the end of course PLTW Exam
    • Exam grade must be documented by the High School or PLTW instructor
  • Students must complete the Crowder College Application for Alternative Learning: Experiential Credit Form, provide official high school transcripts
    • Crowder College courses will be transcripted at the completion of the student’s first semester at Crowder.

How do I get started?

  1. Fill out and submit an Application for Admissions.
  2. Provide an official copy of your high school transcript or GED/HSE and any previous college credits.
  3. Schedule an appointment to enroll with your Advisor.
  4. Schedule an appointment to apply for Financial Aid (if applicable).
  5. Order your books and other supplies from the Bookstore (books and supplies may be charged to your student account).
  6. Start Classes!
