Nursing Students Help Area High School Students

Pineville, MO – Students in the Crowder College Nursing program at McDonald County participated in giving back to the community in a variety of ways. This semester the students presented a check to McDonald County High School in the amount of $1,000 to offset unpaid lunch balances for high school students.

“As the Student Nurse Association, we chose to support our local public schools to help those in need! Nutrition is such an important aspect in our health that we wanted to help students who can’t afford to pay off their lunch balances. As a group, we decided in our hearts that this really was an important thing for us to do and that led to the donation idea. We hope we really made a difference in some of these student’s lives”, exclaimed Taylor Barnes, Student Nurse Association President, McDonald County Nursing program.
