Career/Technical Education Preparation

Career/Technical Education (CTE) Prep is the only program offered to sophomores. This course is an exploratory course meant to be taken prior to enrollment into one of the Crowder Technical Education Centers Programs. Students will experience CTE programs  throughout the school year in a variety of hands-on projects. Time is spent in the classroom learning basic math and communication skills required for that technical area of study and in the shop with hands on exposure to the trade. During the fourth quarter, students will choose two programs that interest them and shadow the program. Upon completion of the course, students will have a better understanding of the Career and Technical Program for enrollment their junior and senior year.

Approval is needed by the high school counselor for enrollment into this program.

Students can earn high school credit for Financial Literacy and Speech.
