Lenora Sotlar Lenora Sotlar,TRIO Director  Over the past 14 years I have embraced diverse career opportunities in Higher Education in Ohio, Arkansas and Missouri.  I have served students as a faculty member, career counselor, and advisor; as well as directed federal grants designed to support student success.  I have a B.A. from the University of Kentucky in Psychology, a M.Ed. in Community Counseling from Xavier University and am currently completing a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology at Walden University.  At the center of my world are my three wonderful children.  I am very proud to have joined the Crowder TRiO family this year and look forward to teaching and learning along with all who participate in TRiO programs as well as supporting Crowder College and the surrounding communities.
Doreen Clouse Doreen Clouse, TRIO Assistant  Hello, I am Doreen Clouse, the TRIO Administrative Assistant. I graduated from Crowder College in May 2005 with an Associates Degree in Accounting. I am continuing to take classes at Crowder to obtain a degree in Business Management. As a student at Crowder, I learned about the TRIO Programs through the SSS group. Since then, I have learned that there are a variety of opportunities that TRIO offers students. The most important thing I have learned is that an education is a fundamental action for anyone wanting to succeed in life. I truly enjoy my position, knowing that I am playing a small part in helping students advance, and learn that college is a wonderful experience. I love reading, listening to good music, and hanging out with my family. I have been married to my husband, Mike for almost 30 years. We have four great kids and three awesome grand babies! Life is good!
Julie Dobbs, SSS Assistant Director I’m Julie Dobbs, proud member of the Student Support Services team!  As a first generation college graduate, I earned my Bachelors of Arts in Speech Communication from Missouri Southern State University. Although I had intended to pursue a career in journalism, I discovered that my passion centered on helping others see potential in themselves…that’s why I love my SSS job!I live in Joplin and have three amazing sons. So, in addition to personally maneuvering the somewhat scary ropes of entering and completing college and helping hundreds of Crowder College students do the same, I am guiding my own boys toward college completion.  In the little spare time I have, I enjoy listening to music of most any kind…preferably live.  I also like competitive word games such as Words With Friends, Taboo, or Mad Gab. Community events and gatherings with friends top my list of favorites, as well. I’m always up for a good conversation. It is my hope that we can work closely together as partners during your college experience.  I prefer to keep everything out in the open; my job is not to judge, it is to uncover the resources you need to complete college.  Things do not have to be complicated…and you do NOT have to handle them alone!  My door is always open, please stop by to say, “Hello!” (Or drop me an email!)
Lisa Adams Lisa Adams, Academic Coordinator, Student Support Services (SSS)When I began my college career at Crowder College in the fall of 1990 I was a straight out of high school freshman. When I completed my Bachelors degree from Missouri Southern State University in May 2006 I had a husband, three kids, a mortgage and a full time job. I understand the value of completing your college education regardless of the number of years it may take. In 1993 I began my career with Crowder College. I have always worked within the Student Services area because I feel there are no greater rewards than helping a student achieve their goals. My hobbies are attending my children’s sporting events, reading and working in my flower garden.
