|Cheyenne Ward, Director
Hi, I’m Cheyenne Ward! I graduated from Drury University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and criminal justice. I also earned a master’s degree in counseling from Missouri State University. I taught general psychology for Crowder as an adjunct instructor in 2010-2011. I came on board with Crowder, full-time, in October 2010, after the Cassville Campus received the federally-funded grant, Student Support Services (SSS). I was hired as the Director of the program and I couldn’t be happier with my job. I appreciate what SSS has to offer to students and would encourage all students to get involved in a TRIO program, if possible. When I’m not at work, I love to travel, go out on the lake, and spend time with my husband and family!
|KayLynn Hill, Secretary
Hi, I am KayLynn Hill; I graduated from Crowder College with an AA in Substance Abuse and Addictions Counseling; and I am currently working on my Bachelor’s degree in Human Services. I started out at Crowder College in Cassville as a student in 2005 and started as the Student Support Services Secretary this past June. I enjoy working with the students and watching them grow academically. In my free time I like to travel and spend time with my grandchildren.
|Benjamin Lesué, Academic Coordinator
I graduated from Southwest Missouri State University in 2001 with a degree in English education. After teaching high school English for seven years, I took a break from teaching to join the Missouri Army National Guard. I went to Basic Training then graduated from Officer Candidate School and became a commissioned officer in 2009. I love serving in the Guard and wearing the uniform. I started working for Crowder in 2010. I love working with students and helping them become successful not just in the classroom but also in life. I’ve learned through my Army experiences that you can accomplish anything you put your mind to even if it is something hard. In my spare time I love being with my wife and kids, camping, gardening, reading, running, and mountain climbing. “It’s time to be immortal ’cause heroes never die!”
|Jerri Hudson, Academic Coordinator
Hi, I am Jerri Hudson. After graduating from Exeter High School I attended Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Mo. There I majored in K-12 Physical Education. After college, I joined the Peace Corp and was sent to Jamaica where I worked with the Special Olympics program assisting schools in setting up their own sports programs. After the Peace Corps I worked with a sculptor in Jamaica and created my own dog boarding business until 1999. At that time I decided to return home and was employed by Crowder College to teach GED classes at the Watley Center in Cassville. Since then I have worked in TRIO with EOC assisting people filling out FAFSA’s at the Webb City Campus. Then I became an academic advisor at the Webb City campus, until this job opportunity opened up closer to home to be an academic advisor with Student Support Services. In June 2012 I completed my Master’s Degree in Education through William Woods University. I am very much looking forward to working near home again and working with many students I already know and getting to know the ones I have not had the privilege of knowing yet. When I am not working I enjoy hanging out in my dome home and working in the yard. I also enjoy my dogs. My nieces are major source of pleasure, spoiling them every weekend, watching movies and doing whatever we want to do.
