Health Information Technology

To earn the AAS in Health Information Technology, a student must meet the requirements of the General Education Core and the HIT Core. All courses completed in the Medical Coding Specialist Certificate count toward this degree. Crowder College Health Information Technology AAS degree program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM). The Health Information Technology (HIT) program’s graduates have exceeded the Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification exam national pass rate. The Crowder College HIT program pass rate illustrates first time test takers completing the RHIT exam within one year of graduation.
