Advanced Provider (AdP) to Paramedic Bridge Program
The Advanced Provider (AdP) to Paramedic Bridge Program is available for those individuals who currently possess an advanced practice license of the following: Registered Nurse (RN), Physician Assistant (PA), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician (MD/DO). The AdP-Paramedic bridge program is designed to address areas of the National Paramedic Curriculum that is absent or not clearly addressed in curricula from other advanced provider offerings. The program will prepare the AdP for the National Registry paramedic examination.

Behavior Technician
The Behavior Technician Certificate can serve students entering a new career or expand the knowledge of professionals already in their field of choice. Those interested in increasing their understanding of autism and behavior analysis including, parents, teachers, speech-language implementers and case managers can add the degree or certificate to their current experience to increase their tools to serve individuals with disabilities and specifically individuals on the autism spectrum.
Biology
Biologists are teachers in high school, college, and universities. They also work as conservationists, nutritionists, laboratory technicians, foresters, rangers, sanitarians, marine biologist and geneticist. Their working environment has as much variation as any career filed: classrooms, laboratories, forests, national or state parks, state or municipal offices, agricultural research stations, oceanographic vessels, museums, zoos, green houses, medical laboratories, hospitals, deserts, tropical rain forests, or even the cold of the arctic regions.
Business Administration
Our Business Administration degree at Crowder College prepares the business-oriented student for transfer to a four-year business, marketing, accounting, economics or finance program. Business Administration provides a core of general education courses plus specific business courses equivalent to those found in any first and second year business program. The following program is suggested for students intending to transfer following graduation. For best transfer, contact with the senior institution should be made as early in the program as possible.

Chemistry
Instruction in the Physical Sciences is offered in the areas of chemistry, physics, geology and astronomy as the foundation for Chemistry baccalaureate and graduate studies in these and related sciences at a university or four-year college. Physical Science students find employment in industrial research and development, government regulatory agencies, or secondary and post-secondary education. The suggested curriculum that follows assumes a mathematics background that will permit an enrollment in the calculus series as a freshman. If pre-calculus classes are needed, more than four semesters are necessary to complete this program.
Communications
Crowder College’s Communication’s Division offers a variety of composition, literature, journalism, and language courses to interested students. Communication is a skill that has been valued for centuries. Recent studies, though, indicate that, while there is an increasing number of employment possibilities, there are fewer employees who are adequately prepared to assume the duties most positions require.
Computer and Network Support
The Computer and Network Support Technology program (CNS) at Crowder College trains students to become a high demand technician and has actively participated with Cisco Certified Academy through Cisco Systems. Computers have become an integral part of today’s society…they’re everywhere! With this surge of computer growth, there is an ever-growing demand for computer and network support technicians.
Construction Technology
The Construction Technology program prepares students for employment in the construction industry or in related occupations. The program is built around National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) standards and is comprised of a core component covering basic employability skills, introductory carpentry, and construction management.
Criminal Justice
The Criminal Justice Associate Degree program is designed to provide the student with the legal, technical, and practical aspects of criminal justice procedures. It will provide the student with opportunities for a career in law enforcement either as a civilian or a sworn in officer of the law. It will also provide for continued education in criminal justice, corrections, juvenile justice, and government or private security operations.
Diesel Technology
Today’s diesel technicians are constantly being challenged to keep diesel-powered equipment running efficiently to meet the needs of businesses. Technicians service the equipment that moves freight, earth and people, drills for oil, powers farm tractors and generates electrical power.
Digital Media Marketing
The Digital Media Marketing certificate is a cross-curricular certificate providing students with the training and experience in a wide variety of career options including social media manager, content generator, e-commerce manager, email marketing manager and more. This certificate may be completed in two semesters and includes an internship option as an elective.
Early Childhood Development
Preschool teachers work with children 3, 4 and 5 years old in both privately and publicly funded institutions. Paraprofessionals help in classrooms or behavior support centers by providing specific assistance to the Classroom Teacher and many school districts are only hiring trained paraprofessionals. Most jobs in these fields require a minimum of an Associate’s degree, this preschool/paraprofessional degree will prepare you to work in the field of education in many ways. The coursework will help you enter into a classroom knowing classroom management, lesson planning, how to identify special needs, and how to work and help different learners. Some school districts will even offer more pay to our graduates. Once you are ready to move on to your Bachelor’s degree you will be in line with the correct coursework, making your transition to a University smooth and efficient.

The paramedic program at Crowder College provides didactic instruction, clinical experience and field internships to assist students in developing the theoretical and technical skills consistent with the goals and objectives of the 2009 National EMS Education Standards and the 1999 U.S. Department of Transportation National Standard Curriculum for the Paramedic.
LPN to RN Bridge
The purpose of the Crowder College Nursing program is to prepare graduates who can demonstrate entry-level competencies as registered nurses, to provide a foundation for continued learning, and to provide a multiple-entry program where licensed practical nurses can enter with advanced standing or students may enter with no previous nursing education. The program is approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing and is accredited through the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). Graduation from the nursing program does not guarantee eligibility to write the licensure exam. Eligibility is determined on an individual basis by the Missouri State Board of Nursing based on the Missouri Nursing Practice Act section 335.066 (1-14) or as recognized by the state in which the graduate desires to license. The nursing faculty strongly believes that the learner must be an active participant in the educational process.

A major in mathematics is designed for students planning to teach mathematics at the secondary school level as well as for those desiring to work as professional mathematicians outside of education. Students entering this program should enjoy working with logic and numbers and should enjoy the challenge to applying mathematics to the sciences and related areas. A bachelors degree is necessary as a minimum requirement for employment in these areas. Paramedic
This program consists of five, eight-week college semesters totaling 42 credit hours. The first three eight-week blocks are completed in the classroom and laboratory setting. The fourth and fifth eight-week blocks include skills training and clinical internships.

Photography
In fall 2012, Crowder College began offering an Associate of Arts photography degree for those delving into this field as a career. There are several vocational options including photojournalism, fine arts, and commercial photography, which includes weddings, portraits, and product photography.
Physical Education
Most successful Physical Education majors have a strong interest in general health, physical fitness, and sports. A desire to work with young people in their overall development is essential for success in this field. Students who transfer and complete a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education can find job opportunities in teaching, coaching, recreation, athletic training, and health promotion and wellness. Practical Nurse (LPN)
Crowder College offers a 52 credit hour program on the path to become a licensed practical nurse. This is a selective admission program offered at the Nevada and McDonald County Instructional Centers. The program prepares graduates who demonstrate entry-level competencies as a Practical Nurse to enter the high demand field of nursing and healthcare.
Pre-Engineering
The Associate in Science (A.S.) Pre-Engineering degree is a cooperative program between Crowder College and the School of Engineering at the Missouri University of Science and Technology. Although not specifically designed for transfer to other engineering schools, the A.S. program does incorporate the essential course work for the first two years of study in any engineering field at other universities.

Psychology – Autism Option
Students pursuing the Associates of Arts of Psychology-Autism Option have the benefit of obtaining the Behavior Technician Certificate in 2 semesters, then continuing in their coursework to complete the AA degree. Over the past decade, southwestern Missouri’s Hispanic population has continued to grow. Students who major in Spanish will have the opportunity to learn to speak to others in their native tongue and to gain knowledge about their customs. Surgical Technology
Students pursuing the Surgical Technology Associate of Applied Science will be able to provide quality patient care during the perioperative experience. This degree will prepare the graduate to work in several roles in the medical field including Scrub Tech, Circulator, Second Assistance, and Instrumentation Specialist.
Teacher Education
The state of Missouri is making many changes to both the teacher education program requirements and evaluation of certified teachers. Because of these changes, the information is open to change. Please use this as a general guide to our program requirements. It is a very good practice to check with a Teacher Education advisor every semester as you plan enrollment. It is also wise to contact the Teacher Education program at the university to which you plan to transfer. They can advise you about specific requirements for entry into their programs.
