Neosho, MO – Crowder College has a close relationship with Tyson, holding Adult English Literacy classes in Noel for the past 24 years and most recently at the Noel plant, serving approximately 100 students each year. The College will be working closely with the Workforce Innovation Board (WIB) in Joplin, the McDonald County Chamber of Commerce, Missouri’s Rapid Response team as well as meeting with representatives of the Tyson plant to understand the needs of the employees affected by the plant’s closing in October.

“Our heart goes out to the employees impacted by the Tyson plant in Noel, Missouri.  They are members of the communities we serve, and our goal is to help them find success even during this difficult and uncertain time,” stated Dr. Katricia Pierson, Crowder College President.
