RE: Lallemand inducted into Region 16 Hall of Fame

Neosho, MO – National Junior College Athletic Association Region 16 announced Travis Lallemand, Head Baseball Coach, has been inducted into the NJCAA Region 16 Hall of Fame.

Hall of Fame inductees are selected by the athletic administrators in Region 16 from all sports. All coaches nominated must meet the following criteria and received at least 75% of the potential votes cast from the region meeting:

  • Coached at least 5 seasons in Region 16
  • Won at least two or more Region 16 titles
  • Coached in NJCAA National Tournament for their respective sport

Lallemand is the first Crowder College coach to be inducted into the Region 16 Hall of Fame. His career record boasts 707 wins and 293 losses as the head coach at Crowder College with 7 Region 16 Championships (2008, 10, 14, 17, 19, 21, 22); four South Central District Championships (2010, 17, 21, 22) and four NJCAA JUCO World Series appearances (2010, 17, 21, 22). The Roughriders have appeared in the NJCAA National poll each year and have won 40 plus games in 11 seasons including three 50 plus wins (2017, 21, 22), since their first JUCO World Series appearance in 2010.

Developing players to continue their baseball and college careers is another accolade Coach Lallemand has earned. He has coached 48 Region 16 1st team players, 14 NJCAA All-Americans, 6 Region Players of the Year, and 4 Region 16 Defensive Players of the Year including 35 drafted players and 120 players moving on to the Division 1 level after Crowder.

Lallemand began his career at Crowder in 2002 as an assistant coach before being named the head coach in 2006. Prior to coaching at Crowder Lallemand served as an assistant baseball coach for two year at Labette Community College. A native of Girard, Kansas, Lallemand played at Labette before transferring to Berry College in Rome, GA.

“It is an honor to be recognized by my peers in Region 16 and to represent Crowder College for all the work we have put in to the program.  This is a representation of all the former players that have made these 17 seasons very successful and all the tireless efforts of my assistant coaches over the years as well, “stated Lallemand.
