Crowder Nursing Students Assist Vaccination Efforts

Neosho, MONeosho, MO – Crowder College Nursing instructors and students have been participating in COVID-19 vaccination clinics this year giving hundreds of vaccinations. Crowder College has assisted at clinics in conjunction with the Newton County Health Department by preparing and administering vaccinations as well as patient education, patient monitoring and paperwork processing.

“Our students gained valuable experience in giving intramuscular injections while serving the community,” stated Sandra Wilson, Director of Nursing, Crowder College.

The Crowder College Nursing program is approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing and is accredited through the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). The nursing program is a limited admission program accepting up to 180 students each year. Crowder College Registered Nursing Programs are available at the main campus in Neosho as well as at our Cassville, McDonald County, and Nevada Centers. The Nevada Center also offers a 10-month Practical Nursing program.
