Crowder eSports Season

Neosho, MO – Crowder College Esports team wrapped up the fall season with several players placing in the top performers of their respective games. Esports kicked off last spring at Crowder College. Players earning recognition are as follows:

  • Melissa Hurtado (Monett)
    • Smash Bros | Eliminated in Round 1 of Playoffs | Top 32 Placement (out of 176)
  • Ethan Merino (Joplin)
    • FIFA | Eliminated in Quarter Finals of Playoffs | Top 8 Placement (Out of 25)
  • Misael Baltazar (Milan)
    • FIFA | Eliminated in Quarter Finals of Playoffs | Top 8 Placement (Out of 25)
  • Giovanni Ramirez (Springdale, AR)
    • Hearthstone | Eliminated in Finals of Playoffs | Top 2 placement (Out of 18)
  • Lucas Carter (Carthage)
    • Fortnite | Placed 6th in final season match out of about 41 players (No tournament for Fortnite)

“I am extremely proud of the work that our athletes have put in this season, both in their respective sports and their studies. I am looking forward to sending even more students to playoffs this spring,”  stated Jackson Lewis, Esports Manager

Esports is a National Junior College Athletic Association sport. Students participating in Esports must be full-time and maintain minimum grade point averages to participate. Crowder College is a member of NJCAA Division I sports offering Men’s Baseball, Soccer; Women’s Basketball, Softball; and co-ed Esports.
