Summer

College Prep Academy (CPA)

  • Six-week summer residential program
  • First five weeks-academics
  • 4 hours in core courses
  • 3 hours in hands-on research class
  • Tutor-supervised study time
  • Evenings events
    • Organized activities
    • Free time
    • Self-esteem and community-building activities
    • Sixth week
  • Week-long cultural trip to a major US city (If requirements are met). Previous trip locations have included:
    • Washington D.C.
    • Chicago, IL.
    • San Antonio, TX.
    • Denver, CO.
    • Pensacola, FL

BRIDGE YEAR

  • Bridge participants=students who have graduated
  • Six college credit hours at Crowder College during College Prep Academy
  • Works with The College Transition Project Coordinator
  • Tracks daily progress in their classes
  • Meets with each student individually to ensure college readiness
  • Provides other assistance as needed
  • Afforded the same privileges as CPA participants
