NEOSHO, MO. – Crowder College has been awarded a Title III, Part A Strengthening Institutions Program (SIP) grant from the U.S. Department of Education to support the college’s Southwest Missouri Flexible Learning & Innovative Pathways (SW MoFLIP) project. The award will help Crowder expand innovative learning opportunities, strengthen student support systems, and increase access to educational pathways designed to improve student success and completion.
The first-year award provides $1,223,933 in federal funding for the budget period beginning September 1, 2026, and ending August 31, 2027. The project period extends through August 31, 2031. Funding for September 1, 2027 through August 31, 2031 has been requested at $1,775,982.
The SW MoFLIP project is designed to enhance educational delivery and student engagement through flexible learning options and innovative pathways that better meet students’ academic, workforce, and personal needs. The initiative supports Crowder College’s commitment to expanding educational opportunities for students throughout southwest Missouri.

Crowder College serves a nine-county region in southwest Missouri with locations in Neosho, McDonald County, Cassville, Joplin, Nevada, and Webb City.
The Strengthening Institutions Program assists eligible institutions of higher education in improving their academic quality, institutional management, and fiscal stability so they can better serve students and strengthen institutional capacity.
