Community Support Services Early Learning Center is an Early Childhood program that provides quality childcare for children from birth through twelve years of age. Services are provided to children with developmental delays, children with special needs, as well as typically developing children living in Jasper, Newton, and McDonald counties.
Our mission is to foster and promote maximum independence, quality of life, personal growth and health and safety for the individuals we serve.
The ELC is open weekdays (Monday-Friday) from 7:00am-5:30pm.

We currently have several opportunities to work directly with Elementary schoolers during the school day this spring. We call our in-classroom volunteers Educators, and we ask our educators to commit 2 or more hours each week for the duration of our weekly programming, which in this case is 6 weeks. The requirements for being an Art Feeds Educator are 30+ hours of college credit and/or 500 hours of experience with children or some combination of the two. All Educators are fully trained by Art Feeds before programming begins so they can enter the classroom equipped with confidence.

Games are Saturday from 9AM-2PM on October 4, 18, and 25th in Cassville. Games are played in Monett on the other weekends, so if you are interested in driving to Monett, you could ref more. Also, if you are ok with traveling to Monett- we need coaches too!

Gentiva Hospice in Neosho has volunteering options for those looking to serve in a unique way. Volunteers are trained & then able to provide companionship and support to the patient and their family. Those who are interested must fill out an application having a thorough and full background check, as well as a drug screen to start the Volunteer training process which consists of reading the Volunteer Manual and in person training with the Volunteer Coordinator.

Wish Granters are volunteers that meet with wish kids and their families in pairs to help them determine their one true wish. It’s a very rewarding volunteer experience as you help to make wishes come true to children with critical illnesses. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, complete a background check and will be trained. The volunteer will work with the family to set up visiting times so scheduling is semi-flexible.

We are building 2 ICF homes – insulated concrete homes – at 413 Maple street in Neosho. For the first week, we will be stacking styrofoam blocks like legos! We will frame up 2 homes in a week! Habitat homes are built by volunteers and due to the generous donations of community members. After the homes are framed, we will have a variety of things to be done including siding, drywall, painting, etc.
