We currently have several opportunities to work directly with Elementary schoolers during the school day this spring. We call our in-classroom volunteers Educators, and we ask our educators to commit 2 or more hours each week for the duration of our weekly programming, which in this case is 6 weeks. The requirements for being an Art Feeds Educator are 30+ hours of college credit and/or 500 hours of experience with children or some combination of the two. All Educators are fully trained by Art Feeds before programming begins so they can enter the classroom equipped with confidence.

Big Brothers Big Sisters has been the Gold Standard of mentoring since 1904. We take “Littles”, children in our community that need a positive role model and Match them with “Bigs”, adult volunteers in our community that want to change the life of a child for forever.

Looking for Youth Flag Football and Soccer referees.
Games are Saturday from 9AM-2PM on October 4, 18, and 25th in Cassville. Games are played in Monett on the other weekends, so if you are interested in driving to Monett, you could ref more. Also, if you are ok with traveling to Monett- we need coaches too!
This is a great opportunity to make a positive impact and have some fun!

Volunteer opportunities available for Crowder students Service Seed Project. Any and every opportunity available, including golf course and Neosho parks upkeep.

Need volunteers to help water trees, weed, and other light maintenance duties throughout Joplin city parks.

There are opportunities to help clean, do laundry, care for cats and kittens, care for dogs and puppies, data entry, customer service.

The thrift store is always needing help to sort through donations and to help with getting items out onto the floor.

(Foster kid non-profit clothing bank) Assistance is needed to help unpack donated clothing items and organizing items for foster kid.

Gentiva Hospice in Neosho has volunteering options for those looking to serve in a unique way. Volunteers are trained & then able to provide companionship and support to the patient and their family. Those who are interested must fill out an application having a thorough and full background check, as well as a drug screen to start the Volunteer training process which consists of reading the Volunteer Manual and in person training with the Volunteer Coordinator.

Projects are available throughout the year to provide approximately four hours of volunteer service. Projects and schedules will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Students should call in advance to schedule.

The librarian needs volunteers an hour a day to shelf books.

Helping sort food boxes, handle clothing, unload things. Mondays 12-4, Tuesday-Thursday 9am-3pm.

Work in preschool classrooms. Activities include playing, reading, and engaging with children ages 3-5 years in a supervised, high-quality preschool. Ongoing daily opportunities for volunteers from 8am-5pm.

We are looking for some tech-savvy individuals who know how to navigate Zoom well and bilingual is also preferred. Volunteers will help us set up tables and chairs, making sure that our clients are in their correct breakout rooms, and that they are not being kicked out while meeting with the attorneys.

Feeding ministry on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday evenings. Please schedule your volunteer hours in advance.

We offer different opportunities for volunteers. You can volunteer on the construction site and help build our homes, help in our ReStore by getting donations ready for customers, or even volunteer at our front desk where you can answer phones and greet!

Each Friday from 11:30 to about 1:30 we pack the food for our Snackpack Program. Students can come in for an hour at a time or help the entire two hours. This project will last all school year.

Wish Granters are volunteers that meet with wish kids and their families in pairs to help them determine their one true wish. It’s a very rewarding volunteer experience as you help to make wishes come true to children with critical illnesses. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, complete a background check and will be trained. The volunteer will work with the family to set up visiting times so scheduling is semi-flexible.

In need someone to play piano for the practices on Monday nights 6:30 to 8:00 pm

Maintaining various community gardens.

Background checks as well as masks are required. Opportunities to drive or work inside making wellness calls. Two people preferred when driving. Must show proof of insurance.

MO Department of Conservation The MO Conservation in Southwest MO is ALWAYS looking for a little help! Park maintenance, construction, repair, sign repair etc. Locations in Barry, Barton, Jasper, McDonald and Newton Counties. We look forward to hearing from you!

Our Carthage MOPS and Moms Next group are looking for volunteers for our Moppet program. We need child care providers that are willing to watch our kiddos on the first and third Tuesdays of the month from 6pm to 8 pm.

Help a Military and Veterans Charity. There are many ways you can help. Volunteer-From-Home or Volunteer-In-Public. Anywhere in the USA.

We have a variety of opportunities throughout the year for volunteers. This may range from data entry, community festivals and parades, special events to everything in between.

We are building 2 ICF homes – insulated concrete homes – at 413 Maple street in Neosho. For the first week, we will be stacking styrofoam blocks like legos! We will frame up 2 homes in a week! Habitat homes are built by volunteers and due to the generous donations of community members. After the homes are framed, we will have a variety of things to be done including siding, drywall, painting, etc.

The Genealogy Department at Neosho Newton County Library is looking for volunteers to help with the local obituary index. They need people who are diligent and care about their work. Most of the work is labeling, cutting, and pasting newspaper clippings to large index cards.

Youth Services Department is in need of volunteers to help bag children’s craft kits, help with decorating the room or bulletin board, helping with big event programs when scheduled and other youth events.

Patient support: Read, games, movies, conversation, memory books. Bring your talent, interest, or area studied.

Special Services: such as massage, cosmetology, cooking, art or music.

Transportation: trips to the grocery store, doctor’s office, or outings.

Administrative Assistance: in Omega. Flexible days and times from 30 minutes up to four hours.

Hospice volunteer opportunities include patient companionship, bereavement support, scrapbooking, etc.

Masters in Social Work Field Practicum Hours available. Service Hours for college students welcome!

Cleanup and Preparation of Campground and Facilities for Summer Camps. May include Painting, Mowing, Weed Eating, Maintenance and/or Custodial Services depending on current needs and abilities of individuals volunteering.

YOU can make a difference. The support you provide as a volunteer is critical to the Center! You can volunteer where you are most passionate or help in multiple areas. Positions include Welcome Desk, Nature Store, Education Programs, Maintenance/Trail Work, Special Events.

We provide groceries for families with children from ages 2-18. We need help bagging food items and loading those bags into the vehicles of the families at pick-up. We meet in the back room of the store at 2pm to bag food items and the pick-up is from 3:30-4:30pm.

Open House, office work to grooming horses and anything in between. Other pportunities are available daily Monday thru Friday all year long.

Offer any help needed/ office, inventory (sorting, moving, stocking), running errands, general labor (cleaning, etc.)

The Center Provides comprehensive therapies for special needs children under the age of 6.
