RE: Crowder and Franklin Tech sign articulation agreement for nursing students

Neosho, MO – Crowder College and Franklin Technology Center inked an articulation agreement to provide a beneficial educational path for students who earn a nursing diploma at FTC.

The agreement provides FTC nursing students the option of earning an Associate of Science in Nursing degree from Crowder College once they obtain all the general education requirements for the program.

“Crowder College is happy to partner with Franklin Technical Center to offer an advanced education pathway for nurses in the four-state region. This is the only articulation of its kind in the State of Missouri,” stated Sandra Wilson, Director of Nursing, Crowder College.

“ It is exciting to have our institutions come together to provide career pathways for our student,” said Nathan Fent, Director of Adult Education, Franklin Technology Center.

Articulation agreements benefit students and colleges/universities in the transition to earn additional degrees and credentials. Crowder College has partnered with several institutions on specific programs as well as overall transferability.

RE: Crowder College Nursing program receives $150K NEIP Grant

Neosho, MO – Crowder College was awarded a $150,000 grant to use to build a Hybrid Practical Nurse to Registered Nurse program.

The Nursing Education Incentive Program (NEIP) was awarded to 21 Missouri college and universities as part of the Missouri State Board of Nursing $3.1M grant. The grant was intended for college and universities to advance efforts in recruiting, training and retaining a high-quality nursing workforce in the state.

“Crowder College currently offers a traditional LPN to RN bridge program,” stated Sandra Wilson, Director of Nursing, Crowder College. “The NEIP grant will allow us to design, pilot, and support a hybrid delivery model for LPNs to earn Associate of Science degrees and license as Registered Nurses.  We want this to provide an opportunity for many working LPNs in our region to continue their education.”

The LPN-to-RN Bridge hybrid program has an expected start date of Fall 2026.

Crowder College offers an Associate of Science in Nursing (RN) degree at its Neosho, Cassville, McDonald County and Nevada locations.
