Crowder College Presidential Honors Scholarship
Students who show exceptional academic promise may receive a Presidential Honors Scholarship, which covers tuition, fees, and books and can be combined with the Missouri A+ Scholarship (if eligible). Recipients must participate in the Honors Program curriculum and meet the criteria for staying in the program.
Eligibility
Applicants who are recent high school graduates must meet two (2) of the criteria listed below:
- a minimum composite ACT score of 26 (or equivalent SAT score)
- a standing within the top 10% of their high school class
- a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.5
- valedictorian or salutatorian of high school class
Transfer or current Crowder students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 and 26 college credit hours completed.
Application Procedures
Email the following items as a single PDF to honors@crowder.edu:
- a completed application
- a typed essay that responds to the prompt on the application
- an official high school (or home school) transcript
- ACT or SAT scores
Additionally, two (2) letters of recommendation addressing your academic ability, work ethic, and maturity should be sent directly from your letter writers to honors@crowder.edu.
After completed applications are evaluated, applicants may be invited for an interview.
Deadlines
- Fall priority deadline is March 1
- No applications are received after July 15
Criteria for Staying in the Program
- 3.5 cumulative GPA
- 12 credit hours per semester
- Must take the required honors courses and receive an A or B in the course
The scholarship may be renewed for up to three (3) consecutive semesters providing the student maintains the criteria for the program.
