Tunley begins play in National tournament

  • Crowder Golfer Cierra Tunley to Tee off Today in National Championship

    Neosho, MO – Crowder College Women’s Golfer Cierra Tunley (Tulsa, OK) tees off, this morning, at the 2024 NJCAA D1 Women’s Golf Championship in Melbourne, Florida for the 72-hole tournament. Her first tee off is scheduled for 9:09 ET. She’ll step on the green again tomorrow morning for round 2, teeing off at 9:18 ET. Rounds 3 and 4 are determined on her performance in the first 2 rounds.

    Last year, Tunley, qualified for the national tournament after placing second in the Central District. The National Tournament will be held from May 19-24.

    Women’s and Men’s programs are coached by Sam Major and are in their second year of both programs.

    RE: Crowder Baseball headed to Alpine Bank NJCAA World Series

    Neosho, MO – Crowder College Roughrider Baseball is headed to the Alpine Bank NJCAA D1 World Series in Grand Junction, CO. This will be the fifth appearance for the #7 ranked Roughriders. The tournament begins May 25 with the championship game June 1.

    The Roughriders punched their ticket to the World Series by defeating Region 2 winner Seminole State, Seminole, OK, this past weekend. They won the first two games in the best of three series with scores of 11-2 and 8-2, respectively.

    The 49-13 Roughriders will have a send-off from the Farber building on the Neosho campus Tuesday, May 21, 9:45am. Coach Travis Lallemand and players will be on hand prior to leaving for Grand Junction.
