Sometimes the signs that someone is hurting and needs help are not as obvious as a broken arm or open wound. Youth Mental Health First Aid will help you to recognize the possible signs that a young person could be experiencing a mental health challenge or crisis, along with a 5-step action plan to offer initial help, and connect them with the appropriate professional, peer, social, or self-help care.
Continuing Education Units are available: The University of Missouri, Missouri Institute of Mental Health will be responsible for this program and maintain a record of your continuing education credits earned. The Missouri Institute of Mental Health will award 7.2 clock hours or 8.7 contact hours (0.8 CEUs) for this activity.
