Dual Credit Program
The Dual Credit Program, taught by Crowder College approved high school instructors, allows high school students, while still attending their local school, the opportunity to enroll in and receive both high school and college credit during normal class hours. Participation in a dual credit program, enables high school students to get a "head start" on their college career as well as prepare them for the challenges of college courses.
Dual Enrollment
The dual enrollment program, taught by Crowder College faculty at designated class sites or online, allows motivated public, private, and home school students the "jump start" they need before attending college on a full-time basis. Credits earned under these programs will be applicable towards a degree at Crowder College and are generally transferable to other colleges and universities. Crowder College cannot guarantee transferability because each institution has its own curriculum Crowder College cannot guarantee transferability. 
Student Requirements
- Have completed their sophomore year of high school and be 16 years of age.
- Have at least a 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
- Be recommended for admission by a high school counselor, principal, assistant principal or superintendent.
- Turn in a completed application for admission.
- It is recommended that students complete their application for admission in the spring prior to fall enrollment, this will give the student more time to complete testing requirements.
- Dual credit enrollment must be completed, with all requirements (application, and test scores), by the end of the fourth week of the college semester.
- Dual enrollment (classes offered on the Crowder College campus or online) must be completed before the end of the first week of the class.
- Meet the same course admission requirements as those followed on the Crowder College campus including:
- Completed COMPASS scores or ACT scores for college placement of at least 18 on the Reading component, 19 on the English component and a 23 on the Math component.
- Take the necessary prerequisite courses.
- Complete and return Enrollment Form listing desired course(s) in which to enroll.
- Pay the special dual credit/dual enrollment course fee of $60 per credit hour (which waives all facility use, lab and technology fees).
- Once the student completes the testing process, a Crowder College representative will assist the student in completing the final enrollment forms.
Advanced Placement
High school graduates participating in the College Board Advanced Placement Program and passing the final examinations with a score of 3, 4, or 5 in the following areas will receive credit for these subjects:
Political Science - PLSC 103
English Language & Composition - ENGL 101
Calculus - MATH 150, MATH 160
History - HIST 106
Biology - BIOL 101
Chemistry - CHEM 111
Physics - PHYS 111
Spanish - SPAN 101
