Instructions for Blackboard

Curious on how to get started in Blackboard?

1. To access your Blackboard account, go online to http://crowder.blackboard.com or go to the Crowder College homepage at http://www.crowder.edu (move cursor to “students”-“online classes” – click on “Blackboard”)

3. Click on the “Login” button.

4. Then login using username and password.

Not sure of username and password?

Starting in Spring 2008, your username and your password for Blackboard is your 5-digit Student ID number. (You should have received your student ID number when you enrolled in classes.)

Once you’ve logged in:
You should be on your personal welcome page now. You’ll note that Welcome “Your Name” is at the top of the screen. If you encounter a problem, please email help@crowder.edu for assistance with Blackboard issues. In your email, please include your first and last name, student ID or Social Security number, and the line numbers for the classes in which you are enrolled.

Please Note:
**Online classes start the same day as on-site classes. Please do not be alarmed if you do not see your online class, until the first day of classes.

A free student help site is provided each semester. It will appear as one of your classes listed under "My Courses" when you login to Blackboard. This site contains useful information on Blackboard, Groupwise email and other educational technology topics.
