Matty is an outfielder from Pine Bluff, AR where he attended Watson Chapel Highschool.
He is the son of Sharrian Johnson. Matty is a transfer from Seminole State College. Matty was named to the All-Region 16 and South Central District Teams as well as the South Central District gold glove winner in centerfield. He also played in the 1st annual NJCAA East/West All Star Game in Millington, TN, where he led off for the West All-Stars.
