Head Baseball Coach
Travis Lallemand
Travis Lallemand begins his third season as the Crowder Head Baseball
Coach overseeing all program functions, as well as working with
the 'Rider pitching staff. Lallemand guided the Roughrider pitching
staff for three seasons, as well as serving as the campus housing
director, prior to taking over the head coaching duties. During
5 years at Crowder, Lallemand has coached 7 pitchers that have
been drafted and 9 who have signed with NCAA Division I schools.
He takes pride in instilling in each individual the importance
of daily hard work, focus and discipline in order to reach their
potential at the collegiate level. From the weight room, to the
classroom, to on and off-the-field work ethics, Coach Lallemand
and his staff work diligently to produce excellent products for
four year schools at all levels to recruit from this program.
With this approach towards development of players and his contacts
in recruiting, he feels Crowder baseball will be able to compete
on a national level.
Coach Lallemand came to Crowder from Parsons, Kansas, where he
was an assistant baseball coach for two years, residence hall
supervisor, and campus life director at Labette Community College
for one year. Lallemand also served one year as the Volunteer
Assistant at Berry College in Rome, GA. He is originally from
Girard, Kansas.
Coach Lallemand prepped at Girard High School, Kansas and went
on to play collegiate baseball at Labette Community College before
transferring to Berry College in Rome, GA. Each of the teams he
competed on from '96-'99 won a minimum of 32 games a year and
competed in the top two of their respective conferences. Travis
finished in the top five nationally in ERA in 1997.
Travis is married to the former Jennifer Gardner of Waterloo,
Illinois and they live in Neosho.

Assistant
Baseball Coach Garrett Crane
Garrett
is begining his third season as an assistant on the 'Rider baseball
staff, working as the infield and hitting coach. Coach Crane's duties
for the 'Riders staff also include serving as the recruiting coordinator
and third base coach. He came to Crowder from MidAmerica Nazarene
University where he handled hitters and infielders for one season.
With his help, MidAmerica had one of the best seasons in recent
years and showed dramatic improvement offensively and defensively.
He also coached five All-Conference players of which four were also
selected to the All-Region team. While at MidAmerica, Coach Crane
also coached the Barnstormers in the Ban Johnson Summer Collegiate
League.
Garrett is originally from Grove, OK, where he was a standout three-sport
athlete and part of their first 4A State Baseball Championship.
He then continued his playing career at Labette Community College
for then assistant, Travis Lallemand. After Labette, he finished
his college career at MidAmerica and was selected by USA Athletes
International to play baseball in Europe. Garrett has a bachelors
degree in sports management from MNU and a masters degree in Education
from Missouri State University. Coach Crane is also an Associate
Scout with the Kansas City Royals and resides in Neosho.

Assistant
Baseball Coach Jim Ritter
Coach Ritter is a native
of Neosho, Missouri. He attended Missouri State University on a
football scholarship and played baseball in the Independent League
for three years. He is retired from the Marine Corps after 26 years
of service. During his time in the Marine Corps, he was a coach/player
on USMC teams for over 22 years.
For the past 11 years, Coach Ritter has coached for Mickey Owen
Baseball School during the off-season. He has been an assistant
coach at Crowder College for seven years. His primary duties consist
of working with the catchers and hitters. For the past 6 years,
Coach Ritter has been an Associate Scout for the Los Angeles Angels.
He lives in Neosho with his wife Beth. His son Kyle, former Roughrider,
is finishing up his degree at Southern Arkansas University after
2 successful seasons. |

Assistant
Baseball Coach Doug Antilla
This is Doug Antilla's
first season with the Roughriders as an assistant coach. He comes
from Mid-America Nazarene University where he was a four-time 1st
team All-conference, two time 1st team All-Region and a two time
All-American. He was drafted in the 42nd round by the Royals in
2007, the first person ever drafted out of Mid-America.
He has coached for Shawnee Mission East High School and the Kansas
City Barnstormers. He comes to Crowder with knowledge as a hitter
and pitcher and currently lives in Neosho. |
