Head Soccer Coach Roel Quiroz

Roel Quiroz, who attended the University of Texas-Pan American, will begin his first season as Crowder’s Men’s Soccer Coach in the fall of 2008. While at UTPA, Coach Quiroz played two years as an NCAA Division-1 goalkeeper. He transferred to Huron University to play his last year of eligibility. While at Huron, he was named Third Team All-American and was part of the 2000-2001 team that went to the Region III Finals. He brings three years of coaching experience to Crowder College from Edcouch-Elsa High School, in Edcouch, Texas, where he coached three straight teams to district titles and state tournament appearances. During his final season at EEHS, he led his team to the state semi-finals. Besides his coaching duties, Coach Quiroz also serves as a physical education and cultural diversity instructor.
