CCTEC Skills USA VICA is a school association of Missouri Skills USA VICA, Inc. Skills USA VICA is a national organization serving high school and college students and instructors whom are enrolled in training programs in technical, skilled and service occupations.
CCTEC Skills USA VICA has over 200 members from five sending schools. Missouri Skills USA VCA has over 8,200 members from more then 65 technical centers and comprehensive high schools. Nationally there are a quarter million members participating.
Skills USA VICA is an applied method for preparing America’s high performance workers in public vocational-technical programs. It provides quality education experiences for students in leadership, teamwork, citizenship and character development. It builds and reinforces self-confidence, work attitudes and life-long learning and pride in the dignity of work. Skills USA VICA also promotes understanding of the free enterprise system and involvement in community service.
Members of Skills USA VICA attend leadership conferences at the district, state and national level. These conferences help the members develop leadership skills and the ability to work with others as a team. Members may also participate in competitive events at the district, state, national and international Skills USA VICA leadership and skills competition. They may compete in the area of leadership or in their skill area.
Members at the local level will also have the opportunity to sit on committees, where they will become involved in community service, public relations, fundraising, professional development and social activities.
