Veterinary Technology

The Anna and John Williams Agricultural Science Center houses the agriculture courses, including the new Veterinarian Technician program. It offers students spacious classrooms, laboratories, a library, computer lab, greenhouse, and a welcome atmosphere. The newest additions to the Agriculture program are the Large Animal Laboratory and tech Veterinary Technology Kennel. These facilities allow for a more hands-on approach learning.

An Associates degree in General Agriculture is designed for transfer to a four-year college or university upon completion. At Crowder College, this degree provides you with a basic knowledge of a wide variety of agricultural topics that serve as the foundation for a future Bachelor's degree.

Agriculture is the largest industry in the state of Missouri and the largest sector of the U.S. economy. Agriculture employs approximately 20% of all U.S. workers. There are many career options in the agriculture industry. In addition to production agriculture they include: Education, Agronomy, Horticulture, Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Animal Science, Veterinary Science and Poultry Science.

The graduates of the Crowder College within the Agriculture Division enter many fields ranging from conservation agents to high school agriculture instructors to presidents of banks.

Via various methods of delivery such as Internet, Intense Weekend Classes, Video and Interactive Television students are able to stay on campus and earn a bachelors in Agriculture through Missouri State University Pathways Program.

Scholarships

General Agriculture Scholarship- The General Ag Scholarship is for any student that is working towards and Agriculture degree at Crowder College. This is a $600 semester renewable scholarship. To be eligible for this scholarship you must be an active student with a minimum G.P.A of 3.0 and must successfully complete 12 hours a semester.

Minority Students in Agriculture Scholarship- Agriculture is a very diverse field of study, and we at Crowder College realize how important diversity truly is.
