International Students

Welcome Letter from the President

Dear Prospective International Student,

I am delighted that you are considering Crowder College as a possible choice for college study in the United States, and thank you for visiting our website. As the new president at Crowder, I have enjoyed learning about all the wonderful people here who truly make Crowder College a special place. As you learn more about us, I believe that you will find the college offers many of the best opportunities that you and your family are looking for in a college or university.

Although you may not be aware of the community college system in the United States, it is the fastest growing segment of American public education. Many American students choose to begin their university educations at a community college. This is because community colleges are more affordable, smaller and more personal, and provide academic quality that prepares students well to finish their degrees at a larger university. Students completing a two-year degree from Crowder College can easily transfer credits for completion of a four-year degree at a university of your choice.

Our small campus of 2,500 students allows us to get to know each international student on a personal basis. We provide you with the attention and assistance you might need to adjust to a new culture, improve your language skills, or receive academic assistance through free tutoring outside of class. The community in which we live is very friendly to peoples of all nations, and you would feel safe and very much at home here. We offer affordable on-campus housing and have active international student clubs. Even though we are one of the least expensive college choices in the United States for international students, those who have selected Crowder College as their first college choice have performed very well in their later university studies. We take great pride in helping you achieve whatever academic goal you have set for yourself.

At Crowder, we are all committed to building a civil, serving, literate, learning community of responsible citizens. We do that by focusing on you. Give our Admissions Office a call toll free at 1-866-238-7788 when you are ready to take the next step. I invite you to join the growing number of international students who are saying, “The best decision I ever made was to begin my study in the United States at Crowder College.” We will have the opportunities waiting for you!

Sincerely,

Alan D. Marble
