Associate of Arts Degree
Crowder’s Associate of Arts Degrees are designed to transfer to a four-year college or university for the completion of a bachelor’s degree in arts or science.
Business Administration
Business Administration at Crowder prepares the business-oriented student for transfer to a four-year business, marketing, accounting, economics or finance program. Business Administration provides a core of general education courses plus specific business courses equivalent to those found in any first and second year business program. The following program is suggested for students intending to transfer following graduation. For best transfer, contact with the senior institution should be made as early in the program as possible.
Associate of Applied Science
Associate of Applied Science Degrees allow students to focus their studies in a specific field. Our AAS Degree Programs are perfect for students who wish to enter the workfoce upon graduation. Although not designed to transfer to a four-year school, some programs and classes do transfer, depending on the institution. Accounting
To earn the AAS in Accounting, a student must meet the requirements of the General Education Core and the Accounting Core. All courses completed in the Accounting Certificate count toward this degree.
Health Information Technology
To earn the AAS in Health Information Technology, a student must meet the requirements of the General Education Core and the HIT Core. All courses completed in the Medical Coding Specialist Certificate count toward this degree.
Management
To earn the AAS in Management, a student must meet the requirements of the General Education Core and the Management Core. All courses completed in either the Business Management Certificate I or II count toward this degree.
Medical Office Specialist
To earn the AAS in Medical Office Administration, a student must meet the requirements of the General Education Core, Office Administration Core and the requirements of the Medical Office Specialist Core.
Office Administration
To earn the AAS in Office Administration, a student must meet the requirements of the General Education Core, Office Administration Core and the requirements of the Clerical Office Specialist Core.
Certificate Programs
Certificate programs provide specific skills training, and are usually completed in one year or less.
Accounting
Students completing the Accounting certificate may pursue an AAS degree in Accounting by completing the remainder of the program requirements. All courses in the certificate program count toward the degree. Students wishing to pursue the certificate in Accounting must complete 31 hours of courses.
Banking Certificate
Students wishing to pursue the Banking certificate must complete 16 hours of courses.
Business Management I
Students completing Certificate I or Certificate II in Business Management may pursue an AAS degree in Business Management by completing the remainder of the program requirements. All courses in either certificate program count toward the degree. Students wishing to pursue the certificate in Business Management I must complete 19 hours of courses.
Business Management II
Students completing Certificate I or Certificate II in Business Management may pursue an AAS degree in Business Management by completing the remainder of the program requirements. All courses in either certificate program count toward the degree. Students wishing to pursue the certificate in Business Management II must complete 31 hours of courses.
Medical Coding Specialist
Students completing the Medical Coding Specialist certificate may pursue an AAS degree in Health Information Technology by completing the remainder of the program requirements. All courses in the certificate program count toward the degree. Students wishing to pursue the certificate in Medical Coding Specialist must complete 31 hours of courses.
Office Administration I
The program gives students the basic skills required by business to work in an office environment. Completing the certificate is the first step in completing an AAS in Office Administration. Students must earn 19 hours for this certificate.
Office Administration II
This certificate provides additional training over the Office Administration I certificate. Students completing the Office Administration I certificate will take an additional twelve hours to complete this certificate. Students must earn 31 hours for this certificate.
